Aldape Design is owned and operated by Dave Schoenfeld. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1974 and has been working as a design / manufacturing engineer since.
Aldape Design was started in Boise, Idaho where Dave designed trail running shoes with a carbon fiber sole to control flexing when running on rocky mountain trails.
Aldape Design is currently located in Petal, Mississippi where Dave has established a small machine shop which allows inhouse prototyping of designs.
The current project, the PortaMed, was started in Pennsylvania and elaborated on after visiting Dave’s dad in a rehab center.
